The Sacrament of Confirmation is a perfection of our Christian Baptism. This incredible sacrament nourishes and strengthens us in our Catholic faith so that we can live as "the light of the world" (Matthew 5:14). 

Preparation for Confirmation is a 2 year program, beginning in 7th grade and finishing at the end of the 8th grade year.

Our Lady of Mercy's Confirmation Program aims to:

• help young people understand the sacrament of Confirmation
• deepen their friendship with Christ
• help them to find ways to practice their faith daily

To help our young people achieve these goals, we invite those preparing to commit to:

• Participate weekly at Saturday Evening or Sunday Mass
• Attend Religious Education classes
• Pray daily
• Serve others
